Fans!

So after thinking no one had ever even seen this site, i logged on last night out of boredom after suffering from insomnia that had kept me awake. And low and behold, 1 follower! We have now increased our fan-base by infinite percent (technically that's true) and have a new burst of energy to make a new episode.
We haven't made an episode for quite a while as we've been rather busy doing other things. I've been dabbling in the music video business for the past few months and Isaac's been failing all his exams. On top of that, we've both recently turned 18 and so it's only right that we are incapable of doing anything for a while.

All Professional Like

We at the Ameteur Science production office are very proud with ourselves because of this site. We've got banners, a shop and the most recent addition to the blog, a newsletter. You can subscribe to it via the link under the header banner. You may think that it's pretty pointless to subscribe to a newsletter from a blog, but we put a lot more effort into the newsletter, which comes out monthly, than this blog. It has more detail about posts and other events aswell.

Epic Fail

Episode two was ment to be about making coke and mentos rockets. It soon went downhill after i couldn't get the lid on the second bottle before all the gas escaped and it was wasted. After that we tried smashing the lid to let the, now extremely pressureised, coke out but they sure do make 'em tough. If you watch other videos about it on youtube it looks so easy. American plastic must be weaker. Then i tried opening the bottle to let the coke out. It didn't work too well as all i got was a face full of foamy liquid but if you watch closly, the bottle does rise a tiny bit before it runs out of fuel. All in all, i got covered in coke AGAIN and isaac was fine.

Coke and Mentos

Episode one of Ameteur Science and probably the way you found this site. Expect more from episode 2 coming soon.

Under Construction

The Ameteur Science blog site is still under construction. We'll still post things to it but you have to bear in mind that quite a lot of it is temporary for the moment until we make it properly. But still check it out. We've finally got our own (kind of) website. Expect some laughs in forthcomming episodes
